Always Shining LLC, doing business as AṂSA ("AMSA," "we," "us"), operates shopamsa.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how it's handled.

By using the Site, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and agree to be bound by it along with our Terms of Use. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site or provide us with any personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; changes take effect once posted here, and the "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the most recent version. Continuing to use the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Information we collect 

Information you give us directly:

  • Name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address

  • Payment information (processed securely by Shopify Payments — we do not store your full card number)

  • Order history and made-to-measure details, where applicable

  • Any information you send us via email or a contact form

  • Date of birth, if we later add a birthday-offer signup field (this section will be updated if/when that's added)

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address and approximate location

  • Browser and device type

  • Pages viewed and time spent on the Site

  • Referring website

Cookies and tracking technologies We use cookies (small text files stored on your device) and similar technologies for a few distinct purposes:

  • Essential cookies — set automatically by Shopify to run the Site: keeping items in your cart, remembering your session, and processing checkout. These can't be turned off without breaking core site functionality.

  • Analytics cookies — used to understand traffic patterns and how visitors browse the Site (pages viewed, time on page, referring source), so we can improve the shopping experience. [As of this writing, AMSA has not yet enabled a dedicated analytics or advertising tool such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel — this section will be updated with specifics once one is added.]

  • Marketing cookies — if we begin running targeted advertising (e.g., Meta/Instagram ads, Google Ads) or retargeting, they would be listed here by name along with a link to their own privacy documentation, the same way we'd disclose any new data-sharing relationship.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings at any time (each browser's "Help" menu explains how). Blocking essential cookies may prevent checkout from working correctly; blocking analytics or marketing cookies won't affect your ability to shop.

How we use your information

  • To process and fulfill your order, including customs/duties documentation for international shipments

  • To communicate with you about your order

  • To send marketing emails, if you've opted in (you can unsubscribe anytime via the link in any email)

  • To improve the Site and understand shopping behavior

  • To prevent fraud and protect the security of the Site

Who we share it with We share information only as needed to run the business:

  • Shopify — our e-commerce platform and payment processor (shopify.com/legal/privacy)

  • Shipping carriers (e.g. [FedEx/DHL/USPS]) — to deliver your order and complete customs clearance on international shipments

  • [EMAIL MARKETING TOOL, e.g. Klaviyo/Mailchimp] — if you sign up for our list

  • Law enforcement or regulators, only when legally required

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Your rights Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information under state privacy laws, including the right to:

  • Know what personal information we've collected about you and why

  • Access a copy of that information

  • Correct inaccurate information

  • Delete your personal information (subject to legal exceptions — for example, we may need to retain order records for tax purposes)

  • Opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information for cross-context advertising (see the California section below for what this means in practice)

  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

To exercise any of these rights, email info@shopamsa.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and let us know what you're requesting. We'll verify your identity using the information on your order (name, email, and order number, if applicable) before processing the request, and we'll respond within 45 days.

California Consumer Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA) If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the rights listed above, plus some California-specific details:

  • "Sale" and "sharing" of information: We do not sell your personal information for money. However, if we use tools that share browsing data with third-party ad platforms for interest-based advertising (for example, a Meta or Google advertising pixel), California law defines that as "sharing," even though no money changes hands. As of this writing, AMSA does not run any such advertising tools. If that changes, this section will be updated, and a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" option will be added to the Site.

  • Sensitive personal information: We collect limited sensitive information — primarily payment card details, which are handled entirely by Shopify Payments and not stored by us directly. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

  • Categories collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (name, email, address, phone), commercial information (order and purchase history), internet activity (browsing behavior on the Site), and geolocation (approximate, via IP address).

  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information and right to non-discrimination apply as described above.

  • Authorized agent: You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may still require you to verify your identity directly.

California requests can be submitted the same way as above: info@shopamsa.com, subject line "Privacy Request — California."

Other state privacy laws Residents of other states with comprehensive privacy laws (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others as they take effect) have similar rights to those listed above and can exercise them the same way.

Marketing opt-out If you've signed up for AMSA emails, every marketing email includes an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom — clicking it removes you from that list. Please allow up to 10 business days for the change to take full effect; you may receive one or two more emails that were already queued. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not affect transactional emails you'll still receive things like order confirmations, shipping updates, and responses to customer service inquiries, since those aren't marketing.

If we add SMS marketing in the future, the same principle will apply: reply "STOP" to opt out of texts at any time.

Data security We take commercially reasonable physical, technical, and administrative measures to protect your personal information — including limiting who has access to customer data and using standard security safeguards on our systems. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security; any information you send us is sent at your own risk.

Disclosure for legal purposes We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, investigate fraud, respond to a government request, or protect the safety of our users or the public.

Unsolicited submissions If you send us design ideas, feedback, or suggestions unprompted (by email or otherwise), we'll treat that information as non-confidential. We may use it without any obligation to compensate you, though we won't publicly attribute it to you without your permission.

Other websites The Site may link to third-party websites we don't control. Our privacy practices don't extend to those sites — please check their own privacy policies before sharing information there.

Children's privacy The Site is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

International visitors If you are shopping from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States (and, for order fulfillment purposes, may be processed in India).

Changes to this policy We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
