Handloom woven in Varanasi by a fifth-generation artisan community, this Banarasi tissue silk is created using traditional weaving techniques that have been preserved and refined over centuries. Each fabric is meticulously constructed on handlooms, interlacing pure silk with high-quality zari to achieve its signature lightweight structure and soft metallic sheen.

Sourced directly from a multigenerational weaving family, the textile is protected under the GI tag, ensuring authenticity and regional integrity. Every stage—from yarn preparation to weaving and finishing—is deeply labor-intensive, reflecting the precision, heritage, and enduring skill of the artisans who continue to sustain this historic craft.

100% handloom Banarasi tissue silk, woven from silk and zari and lined in silk and cotton. Handwoven and shaped by hand through the bodice, subtle variations in colour, texture, and sheen are inherent to the process and give each piece its individual character.

Dry clean only. Store carefully in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to protect the colour and delicate woven surface.
