A strapless corset shaped close to the body, with a softly gathered surface that creates natural texture across the form. Internal boning provides structure, while a concealed zip closure keeps the finish clean and uninterrupted.

The piece is cut from handwoven Banarasi tissue, woven in Varanasi from pure silk and fine zari to create its characteristic lightness and metallic sheen. Banarasi weaving carries a long history, shaped over centuries through the exchange of Persian influences and Indian weaving traditions.

The textile for this piece comes from a multigenerational weaving community whose practice has continued through five generations. Each length is handwoven on the loom using pure silk and fine zari, preserving both material integrity and process.

100% handloom Banarasi tissue silk, woven from silk and zari and lined in silk and cotton. Handwoven and shaped by hand through the bodice, subtle variations in colour, texture, and sheen are inherent to the process and give each piece its individual character.

Dry clean only. Store carefully in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to protect the colour and delicate woven surface.
