These sweaters are hand knitted by women artisans across the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, using traditional techniques passed down through generations.

Made from 100% indigenous Indian wool, the fibre is sourced from sheep reared in the high-altitude regions of Himachal Pradesh. The cold Himalayan climate produces a thicker, more insulating wool, giving the sweaters their natural warmth and durability.

Each piece is hand knit, hand stitched, and hand finished, moving through multiple stages of craftsmanship before completion. Unlike many contemporary alternatives that blend Indian wool with imported fibres for softness, these sweaters use only local wool, retaining the character of the material and the integrity of the process.

This approach supports regional wool systems and the women artisans who continue to sustain and evolve this longstanding knitting tradition.

100% undyed desi wool, handknit by female artisans. The wool is left undyed, and its grey tone comes from spinning together the natural black and white fleece of indigenous sheep, so slight variation in shade and tone from piece to piece is expected and part of the wool's natural character.

Frequent washing is not necessary due to the natural properties of wool. Air between wears and gently hand wash only when needed, using a specialist wool detergent. Reshape while damp and lay flat to dry. Store folded to help preserve the shape of the knit.

One size. Relaxed, slightly cropped fit with dropped shoulders. Model is 5'9".
